Dr.Rajesh Varma Ayurveda FAQs
What is Ayurveda? Ayurveda is an ancient holistic healing system that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. It focuses on balancing the body, mind, and spirit through natural therapies, herbal medicines, diet, and lifestyle changes.
How does Ayurveda work? Ayurveda works by identifying an individual’s unique body constitution (Prakriti) and treating imbalances (Vikriti) using herbal remedies, detox therapies, diet, yoga, and meditation. The goal is to restore harmony between the three doshas – Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
What are the three doshas in Ayurveda? Vata (Air & Ether): Governs movement, creativity, and flexibility. Pitta (Fire & Water): Controls digestion, metabolism, and energy production. Kapha (Earth & Water): Manages structure, stability, and immunity. An imbalance in these doshas can lead to various health issues.
How is Ayurvedic diagnosis done? Ayurvedic diagnosis includes: Nadi Pariksha (Pulse Diagnosis) – Determines dosha imbalances. Tongue & Eye Examination – Indicates digestive health and toxins. Skin, Nails, and Hair Analysis – Reflects internal health. Lifestyle & Medical History Analysis – Helps in creating a personalized treatment plan.
What are the benefits of Ayurveda? Natural and holistic healing Detoxification and purification of the body Stress relief and improved mental clarity Better digestion and metabolism Stronger immunity and disease prevention
Does Ayurveda have side effects? Ayurveda primarily uses natural herbs and therapies, which are safe when prescribed by a qualified Ayurvedic doctor. However, self-medication or improper use of herbs may cause side effects. Always consult an expert before taking any Ayurvedic treatment.
How long does Ayurvedic treatment take to show results? The duration of Ayurvedic treatment varies depending on the condition being treated. Some acute issues may resolve in a few weeks, while chronic conditions may take several months. Ayurveda focuses on long-term healing rather than instant relief.
